I offer a range of services – all audiobook related.

Audiobook Narration

I narrate audiobooks from my personal studio at home as well as in mainstream studios, for publishers and production houses around the world.
I record and produce audiobooks independently. I work directly with authors and produce and publish audiobooks from works in the public domain.
I use punch and roll recording, so deliver clean audio – with no retakes or repeats, to the specifications of your choice.
When working independently, I always outsource audio proofing to a professional proofer
I can edit and master audio if required.

Narrator Coaching

My audiobook narrator course is a traditional remote learning course with written coursework and recording assignments spread over six modules.
I review and give detailed written feedback to each recording assignment within the course.
Each participant also has an hour-long one-to-one Zoom session with me to review and work on each assignment following my review.
One assignment is delivered as both raw audio and finished audio and is reviewed technically by an audio engineer and audiobook editor with tech feedback and suggestions for processing to reach the required quality for delivery as a finished audiobook.
Narrators working with me, also have a vocal technique review with a voice and accept specialist coach.

Director Sessions

I direct narrators via Zoom – short sessions are available in half hour or hour long blocks to work on an audition, a sample read, or a section of an audiobook.

Behind the Voice

I love telling stories and get enormous satisfaction from sitting in a padded isolation booth talking to myself! Narration combines so many of the skills I have gained over the past fifty years I feel that I have come home. Based in the East Midlands, I sing in two local choirs, I enjoy my garden, my crazy dog Freddy, good food, and the company of friends and family.
