I offer a range of services – all audiobook related.

Audiobook Narration

I remotely narrate and self-produce audiobooks from my personal studio for publishers and production houses around the world.
I work independently, or with remote direction as required.
I am always happy to be invited to record in mainstream studios.
I am willing to work directly with authors offering full production services (excluding distribution).
When working independently, I always outsource audio proofing to a professional proofer.
I can edit and master audio if required.
I am also an experienced Earphones Award winning Freelance Audiobook Producer.

Narrator Coaching

My narrator coaching is not suitable for beginners. It’s built for working professionals who are already recording remotely for mainstream publishers, and for professional actors who wish to add audiobook narration to their portfolio.
I do audition narrators prior to coaching, and applicants are asked to supply a sample read and have a zoom call with me before committing to the course.
The course comprises comprehensive written coursework spread over six modules and includes custom texts for recording..
I review and give detailed written feedback to each recording assignment within the course followed by an hour lone one-to-one Zoom call to work ‘live’ on the supplied texts or a text of the narrator’s choice.
One assignment is delivered as both raw audio and self-edited finished audio for technical review by an award winning audiobook editor.
Narrators signed up to the course have a vocal technique review with a specialist voice and accent coach.

Director Sessions

In addition to my full narrator coaching course, I direct working narrators via Zoom for specific projects, to work on auditions, sample reads, or a section of an audiobook. Sessions are available in half hour or hour long blocks.

Behind the Voice

I love telling stories and get enormous satisfaction from sitting in a padded isolation booth talking to myself! Narration combines so many of the skills I have gained over the past fifty years, and when I begin recording it feels like coming home. Based in the East Midlands, I sing in two local choirs, I enjoy my garden, my crazy dog Freddy, good food, and the company of friends and family.
